The Chinese Super League (CSL) has announced that Tianjin Quanjian have secured their place in the next season's competition after beating Guangzhou R&F in the relegation play-off final.
The match, which was held at the Shenyang Stadium in Liaoning Province, saw Tianjin take the lead early on and hold onto it until the final whistle, securing their spot in the top flight for another year.
The victory was a major boost for Tianjin, who had been struggling to find form this season and were facing a relegation battle against Guangzhou.
It was a testament to the team's determination and hard work, as well as the support of their fans and supporters.
"Congratulations to Tianjin Quanjian on securing their place in the Chinese Super League," said CSL chairman Zhang Jiajie. "We look forward to seeing them continue to perform well and bring joy to their fans."
The win also marked a significant achievement for Tianjin manager Zhang Jie, who took over from former coach Guan Zhou in October and led the team to a strong finish in the regular season.
"We're delighted with our performance today," said Zhang. "We knew we had to come out fighting and we did just that. We'll now focus on preparing for the new season and making sure we can continue to deliver results for our fans."
The CSL play-offs will now move on to the semi-finals, where Tianjin will face either Shanghai Shenhua or Wuhan Zall.
Despite the setback, Guangzhou R&F will still be looking to bounce back and secure their place in the top flight for another year. The club has struggled this season and will need to turn things around quickly if they want to avoid being relegated once again.
